The girls volleyball team went to state all four years, winning two championship trophies and two second place trophies. Girls basketball, need I remind anyone???, won the state trophy our senior year with an estimated 1600 Waunakee fans attending. Girls swim team had their bright spots in individual records. Girls soccer had first conference title in school history. Girls softball had a rough season, but persevered. The football team, under new head coach, Pat Rice, struggled our senior year, but layed the ground work for many successful seasons in the years since. Boys soccer had a split season, 13-13-1. Boys baseball won conference championship and boys golf went to sectionals. Boys basketball had a rough season and fell in the semi-final regionals. Boys swim had individual improvements while wrestling placed two in the state finals.
Cross Country and Track and Field also had individual successes. The track team sent athletes to state with many coming home with awards.
